After introducing the iPhone 2.0, Apple reduced the price from $399 to $199, the same price of an 8G nano and $100 less than an 8G iTouch. Now imagine the people that decided to splurge on the $400 piece of technology a month ago...

This is why winning free stuff is fucking awesome!! I just think we're trying to fit too much into one tiny appliance, out of convenience... our society has become so 'on the move' and fast-paced, that people feel that they have to buy into everything just to keep up. Apple is buying into our inherent need to win, to come out on top in any type of competition. Image competition.
But it's whatever--ultimately you have to be a smart consumer, maybe even frugal.
